The quilting took longer than I thought, but 'tis done. The sheer overlay has also been zapped.

Not too obvious on that particular sample, but there are little shreddy bits that add a different dimension and just a bit of organic shape and texture which softens the lines of the grid. In actuality, the texture is a bit crunchy.
Here is a cropped bit from one of the photos from the other day. The pieces have not yet had the sheer overlays. The sample laid on top is actually a bit from the big piece at the back.
Now they all need trimmed and edged. Then they will get put together in some yet-to-be-determined way to end up with 100cm x 100cm...but NOT square.
Or at least that is the plan.
