York again

Just back this evening...We made another quick journey to York. Last week my Mother in Law had a fall and got a fracture in one of her pelvic bones. She hasn't had to have surgery, but it will mean a long stay in an intermediate care hospital.

So we popped up to check she was alright and to see if she needed anything doing at home. My husband's sister and brother are closer and they have been seeing her more regularly.

Anyway, we stayed in a bed and breakfast which looked posh! Our room must have formerly been a Withdrawing Room. Here is a photo of the pelmet over the bed area and the chandelier.

These were taken just before leaving, so no photos of the 2 huge double beds! A Certain Young man had a room up in the servants quarters area of the old house. Still a reasonable size room for all that it was on the 2nd floor.
