We got to Guildford Catherdral for the graduation ceremony early, so while waiting, I looked around a bit more.

What must it have been like to make the curtain on the wall of the Cathedral?
To put it in perspective...the small arches near the lower corners of the photo?
They are doorways.

Wow, and the horizontal stripe on the fabric is perfectly level!
Things like these have to be done on huge commercial tables. I couldn't imagine trying to maneuver that much fabric on my mere 8-foot long work table!!
I know! The width alone must mean you'd need to work in a space the size of the cathedral in the first place!!!
