I have done a bit of sampling to come up with a template that works for what I have in mind using the plastic wallets I showed the other day.
As i said, The next TVCT exhibition will be work inspired by one of the sculptures which has been exhibited on the Fourth Plinth in London's Trafalgar Square.
first a thick card cube using the original template
Next step to lengthen the side opposite to the original long one.
and eventually the proper length
and trying it out in clear plastic
One is nearly right and one is right. I scored the foldlines with the scalpel I used to cut the boxes.
Now to get on with making the rest.
I also need to sample ideas for display
and to see if there would be a door or window,
and if it wants someone or something inside.

Beads going on a diversion - 3
More beads to work with white embroidery for Karen Ruane. Most are pastel colour beads, though some are a bit darker, yet small enough to still work with white.

Let's see what Karen finds to do with them all!

beads going on a diversion - 2
More beads to work with white embroidery for Karen Ruane. Some have a touch of colour with them...either a bead with other colours or pastel colour bead.
Some use the 'wooden look' sequins on the offcuts of the embroidered cotton lawn I made my blouse from. I removed a lot of the sequins from the seam area and saved them.
As with the previous post with white beads, I have used the same bead twice (i.e. wbead25+wbead26) with slight variations before moving on to another bead.

beads going on a diversion - 1
A few months ago Karen Ruane commented about the new fabric packet beads I had started doing for 2014. Karen works beautiful embroideries which are mainly white. She also commented again when I made my blouse of embroidered cotton lawn. I actually thought of her when I was making it...that the fabric would appeal.
So, I suggested a collaboration of sorts. I would make some white beaded fabric packet bits to send to her. As and when she felt they would work on something she was making, she could include them.
So, I have been using the offcuts of the embroidered cotton lawn to make some beaded fabric packets to send to her. It has been a good chance to try out some ideas for the daily bead project...and to see what it would be like to make enough to perhaps sell. Okay, for some I went a little bit overboard!
Both sides are different, so I tried to get a photo of them from the side. I have used the same bead twice (i.e. wbead1 + wbead2) with slight variations before moving on to another bead.

Hopefully she has received all the beads in the post today. The rest of the beads for Karen will be shown tomorrow and the following day.
