It is with great sadness that I have to post that Sandy passed away on August 4th after a short illness. She is now resting in the arms of her Saviour. We all miss her greatly but I look forward to the day when we will be together again with Christ.
Jim (Sandy’s husband)
I am so sorry. My thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteOh, dear Jim, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I never had the pleasure of meeting Sandy in person but we have been internet pals for many years, exchanging many many comments on our respective blogs and lots of emails "outside of school" and both participating in the same group blog a while ago. I was particularly in love with her daily art project last year with the 24,000 beads, and was following along with her daily embroidery this year. I feel I have lost a dear friend, even though we never got to be together in person. My very deepest sympathies to you and the very special young man.
ReplyDeleteI miss her and her inspiring blogs. I enjoyed working with her in Contemporary Quilt. Sympathy to you and the family. A lovely person and so helpful
ReplyDeleteHi, Jim. I am so sorry to read this news about Sandy. I was thinking about her this morning and wondering why she hadn't posted lately. Her work and spirit brightened many lives over the years. My condolences to you and your son. Sincerely, Jeannie
ReplyDeleteI just found out today that Sandy had died. I am just bereft. We had met through the sewing universe and had corresponded for decades. I will miss her goodness and her constant encouragement.
ReplyDeleteI had always hoped to someday meet Sandy not just through her writing, her work, and our correspondance but in person. I am so sad that I will never have that opportunity.
I send much love to her entire family.
May her memory be a blessing for us all.
