I liked the patterning on some of the Celtic crosses in the Margravine Cemetery.
One large one was a memorial to the 1st Mayor of Hammersmith. The money was raised by public subscription when he died.
There were special memorials to those who died in WWI and WWII, including one in particular who died fighting on the Home Front.
and some that just stood out as being very unique.
All of these photos and yesterday's were of memorials along the path we went. It would be fascinating to take time to just wander round, read names and epitaphs.
Just thinking of the grief and care that went into these memorials has been running through my mind on this weekend remembering Christ's Death and Resurrection. What hope we have!
