I keep forgetting that I adapted the stencil so I could create the piece to be vertical. So, here is the Golden Dragon right way up and with the edge finished.
It is harder to make up a story when you use a dragon from a different source....
But upon consideration, I think this must have to be the symbol of the Son of the Dragon Lord. The symbol is worn on the livery of the dragons which serve his house. The dragon rampant symbol is placed upon a crazed terracotta background which relates to the lands belonging to the Dragon Lordson, as the main source of income comes from the red clay found there.
